I want to improve my golf

Origin Golf Physio

Golf physiotherapy, swing performance and injury prevention. You may have everything money can buy, but you are the most finely tuned part of your golf swing.

Origin Golf Physio

Origin Golf Physio

Golf asks for a specific combination of rotation, stability and sequencing. Where the body cannot supply it, the swing compensates, and those compensations produce both the injuries and the inconsistency.

Origin Golf Physio is led by Amanda, who holds Titleist Performance Institute qualifications alongside her HCPC registration. A TPI movement screen assesses the physical limitations affecting your swing, then gives you a personalised programme to address them rather than a generic set of golf stretches.

That can improve club head speed, distance and consistency, and it addresses the back, hip and shoulder problems golf exposes. Where the screen finds a genuine clinical problem, treatment starts in The Physio Rooms alongside it.

What Origin Golf Physio covers

  • A TPI movement screen assessing rotation, mobility, stability and control
  • Each finding linked to the specific swing demand it is compromising
  • A personalised corrective programme, not a generic set of golf stretches
  • Targets club head speed, distance and consistency
  • Addresses the back, hip and shoulder strain that golf exposes
  • Direct route into physiotherapy where the screen finds something clinical

Common
questions

Will a TPI screen improve my golf swing?

It addresses the physical side rather than the technical side. Where a fault is caused by restricted rotation or poor stability, removing that limitation often improves speed and consistency. It works alongside coaching, not instead of it.

Do I need to be a good golfer?

No. The screen assesses your body, not your handicap. It is just as useful for a club golfer whose back hurts after every round as for a low handicapper chasing distance, and many people book it precisely because golf has started to hurt.

Why does my back hurt after golf?

The swing loads the lumbar spine rotationally and in side bending. Where hip or thoracic rotation is restricted, the lower back takes up the shortfall and becomes the point of overload. Treating the restriction usually matters more than treating the back.
