The Recovery Rooms
Recovery, soft tissue and wellbeing. The maintenance work that keeps you training, working and moving well between the episodes that send you to a physiotherapist.
The goal
The Recovery Rooms
Not everything that hurts is an injury. A lot of it is accumulated load from a heavy training block, a run of long desk days or a fortnight of travel, and it responds to regular soft tissue work rather than to a course of treatment.
The Recovery Rooms is where that sits: deep tissue and sports massage, in 30 or 60 minute sessions, delivered by chartered physiotherapists rather than massage-only therapists.
That distinction is the point of putting it inside a physiotherapy practice. If what you assumed was tightness turns out to be a tendinopathy or a joint problem, your therapist can say so and move you into the right plan the same week, instead of booking you in for another massage.

Common
questions
How much is a sports massage?
A 60-minute deep tissue sports massage is £85 and covers a full region, such as a whole lower limb or the neck, shoulders and upper back together. A 30-minute session is £55 and suits a single area needing regular attention.
How is this different from a normal sports massage?
Your therapist is a chartered physiotherapist, so the session is guided by an understanding of load, tissue healing and biomechanics. If the treatment uncovers something clinical, we can diagnose it and change the plan rather than simply rebooking you.
How often should I book?
Every two to four weeks suits most people during a heavy training block. If you are managing a specific problem, a shorter run of weekly sessions alongside rehabilitation makes more sense. We give an honest view rather than a standing order.
