"I saw Amanda for a problem I've been having with a painful shoulder. She explained to me what the problem was, did a thorough treatment session and gave me some exercises to do to improve it. Very professional and friendly, I highly recommend her."

"I first visited Amanda following a maisonneuve fracture. That day I walked 107 steps in a camboot with two crutches. I have visited weekly. Yesterday I walked 13,315 steps (no crutches, no boot). The transformation is truly amazing."

"I booked with Michelle for my first appointment. When I stood up I said to her it feels like heaven as my continuous back pain had totally gone. I was totally pain free for 7 hours so bless you Michelle."

"Excellent treatment of my lower back and related sciatica injuries from CrossFit. Definitely my go-to therapist when in dire need of pain relief."

The starting point
for better health.

Origin Health is Amanda Yardley’s London practice, built around 4 specialist strands under one roof: The Physio Rooms for physiotherapy and rehabilitation, The Recovery Rooms for soft tissue and recovery, Origin Performance for strength and conditioning, and Origin Golf Physio. It runs from 2 clinics, inside UNTIL at 280 Bishopsgate by Liverpool Street and at 30 South Colonnade in Canary Wharf, both open Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm.

Amanda has been a physiotherapist for 15 years. She trained in the NHS across acute inpatient care, orthopaedics, paediatrics and post-natal rehabilitation before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and her last NHS role was as a First Contact Practitioner. She was part of the medical team for the London 2012 opening and closing ceremonies, and she holds 4 further qualifications beyond her HCPC registration: MCSP, AACP acupuncture, APPI ante-natal and post-natal matwork, and TPI golf certification.

The approach is holistic by design. We look at how your work, your sport and your daily routine load your body, then build a plan around the life you actually lead. Your first appointment is a full 60 minutes rather than a rushed 20, every plan is emailed the same day and loaded into the Move Health app, and where it matters we measure progress objectively with VALD strength testing rather than asking you how it feels.

What happens at your
first appointment

Assessment

A full 60 minutes covering a detailed history and a comprehensive musculoskeletal examination. We explain the working diagnosis in plain English and agree a plan with you before any treatment begins.

Treatment & rehabilitation

Hands-on manual therapy and soft tissue work combined with a progressive, tailored exercise programme, with acupuncture or clinical Pilates added where they help. Your plan is emailed the same day and loaded into the Move Health app.

Reassessment & discharge

Each follow-up measures progress against your own baseline, adjusting load and technique as you improve. We discharge you when you have the tools to manage independently, not after a fixed number of sessions.

Physiotherapy
questions, answered

Do I need a GP referral to see a physiotherapist?

No. You can self-refer: book online through our booking page, or contact the clinic with any questions first. UK physiotherapists are first-contact practitioners, so a GP referral is not required. If you are claiming on insurance, check whether your policy asks for one.

How much does an appointment cost?

An initial consultation is £120 for 60 minutes, including assessment and your treatment plan. Follow-ups are £95 for 60 minutes or £75 for 30 minutes. Sports massage is £85 for 60 minutes or £55 for 30 minutes. Manual therapy, acupuncture and exercise rehab are included as appropriate.

What are the different Origin Health clinics?

Origin Health brings four strands together: The Physio Rooms for physiotherapy and rehabilitation, The Recovery Rooms for sports massage and soft tissue work, Origin Performance for strength testing and conditioning, and Origin Golf Physio for TPI golf screening. One team, one plan, one record.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Bring a list of any medication you take, any consultant letters or scan results, and comfortable clothing that allows movement and access to the area needing treatment. Arrive a few minutes early for a first visit so we can complete a short intake form.

Will physiotherapy be painful?

Some techniques may cause mild discomfort during or shortly after treatment, comparable to post-exercise soreness, and this typically settles within 24 to 48 hours. We always work within your comfort levels and explain what to expect before we begin.

Where are your clinics?

We have two London clinics: Liverpool Street, inside UNTIL at 280 Bishopsgate, EC2M 4RB, two minutes from the station, and Canary Wharf at 30 South Colonnade, E14 5HX. Both are open Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm, with full rehabilitation gyms and changing facilities.
